The Varendra Research Museum |
The Varendra Research Museum, one of the best archaeological
archives in South Asia, is located in the Hatem Khan Mahalla, the center of
Rajshahi city. This collection, rich in a wonderful collection of Bengali art,
is the pride and pride of Rajshahi and Bangladesh. The Varendra Research Museum
was established in the 1910 year to preserve its own history, culture, and
heritage. According to the Indian Association Law of 1860, Varendra Research
Museum was registered in 1914. There have been many houses of historical place art since ancient
times in India. Famous among these are Gandhara, Sarnath, Mathura, Magadh and
Varendra Gharana. The Varendra Research Museum is representing the Varendra
Gharana. There was a school of sculpture art representing the special house of
the region during the Pala period under the leadership of Yashwashi sculptor
Dhiman of Barendra region and his son Bitpal. Most of the rescues from the
Varendra region is made from this school. Hundreds of well-decorated statues,
shown in Rajshahi Barendra Research Museum, the Vaturia script of the Governor, the
royal palace of the first municipal corporation, Deopara Prashati and the
Bagbari area of Lakshman Sen has uncovered the accuracy of Barendra's own
art house. The Varendra Research Museum houses a rich manuscript. There is also
a library of about fifteen thousand rare books and magazines. Here, foreign
teachers, researchers, enlightened students, students get the opportunity to
study. The book is in the Library of the Museum to gain complete knowledge of
the archeological site. The museum combines Muslim traditions and mesmerizing
Bengali rooms. In addition, a modern museum has been built for the preservation
of organic and inorganic antiquities preserved in the museum. The museum, whose
sincere efforts have reached international status, almost all of them are
well-known at home and abroad. Among these renowned scholars are Kumar Sharat
Kumar Roy, Ramaprasad Chand, Akshay Kumar Maitreya, Dr. Radhagovind Basak, Dr.
Upendranath Ghosal, Nanigopal Majumder, Professor Santosh Bhattacharya, Dr.
Erat Hossain Juberi, Professor Mirjahan, Dr. Ghulam Maqsood Hilali, Dr. Abu
Imam, said. ABM Hossain, Professor Mukhlesur Rahman, Dr. Kasimuddin Mollah, Dr.
Saifuddin Chowdhury. Every day hundreds of students, tourists and academics are
fascinated by the huge and varied collection of this ancient museum.
